The European Union has reached a deal on corporate sustainability ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐พ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฐ.
Listed or unlisted companies with over 250 staff and turnover of โฌ40 million will have to disclose environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities, and the impact of their activities on the environment and people.
Some smaller listed companies will be subject to a lighter set of reporting standards, which they can opt out of until 2028, the committee said. ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐น๐. The CSRD will replace the current Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD).
